Jas had to go get his laptop for working tonight (night shift) so the boys & I drove out to D. with him. I got 2 rows knit on the way there, and two on the way back (I should say 1 Purl, 1 Knit each way. heh). We usually don't take the boys out past 9 (bedtime is 9, thats when we left) but we really needed the quiet time together ya know? We listened to a Veggie Tales tape the whole way there & back. And it was cool seeing where my husband has been working these past months! Nothing like I pictured it, of course. But yeah, got those four done. I still need to cut off the old color, I forgot about that before we left so I just let it drop and worked around it. I never idd check to see if i messed up and didn't notice, I better do that before I knit more!
I have knit one row in the past few days. I have to finish that blanket about 54 rows to go. two white sections & two colored sections. but i am starting that too tired, don't want to keep my eyes open part of the first trimester. I knew it was coming, its been worse everyday. I need sleep. i have not even felt like going to all my daily blogs to read everyday for a couple days now. I will again. i will i will. and i will finish this blanket by the time of the baby shower in a week and a half. oh boy. Maybe mom will help. She can knit & purl, faster than I can even.
I only have two more sections left on the blanket, that is um 44 rows. It took me two weeks to do the first three sections, plus the first 7 rows. So we will see how much time I get in over this next week, I have two left till the baby shower. I can do it, right? Plus a hat, hopefully. I would love to do some booties, I should get started on them. I found a simple pattern online.
OH I found the best ebay auction a couple of weeks ago, paid $20 (plus s&h) for a bunch of STUFF. Tons of yarn-old stuff I need instructions on how to wash it because some of it smells awful. TONS of old magazines and pattern books for knitting & crochet (andrea, my soon-to-be next door neighbor crochets, we should have fun with this stuff!) One of the little pamphlet type of things the women are wearing knit dresses with nothing underneath. No joke. You can see one of their nipples (hey my brother-in-law pointed this out, lol. I had to mention how great nipples are for nursing). What else was in there, a bunch of nylon circular needles, dpns, a cable needle thing, um misc odds and ends. I will take some photos of the things I am clueless about.
I was looking through the patterns and stuff earlier and found several things I would like to knit for the baby : ) Yay. Sorry I have not posted in so long. I have a lot of replies due to the knitblog list too... I will probably do it all in one to cut down on emails for y'all to have to dl.
