Ok good Blogger is working this morning, it wouldn't last night and I was getting soooooooo frustrated with it.
I was playing around in PSP last night and decided I needed a new look here, so here it is. Yay.
The only thing I still need to change is that where it has favorite knitting links will be the 5 random ones each time you come to the page, as soon as I get the code together.

Knitting stuff. I got 5 rows done on the blanket last night, and a few done on the kerchief.. I did start doing that on size 8 needles and I liked seeing the difference in the stitches on size 8 & size 3. I'm going to post pictures later to show you. Really more for other newbie knitters because the more experienced ones already know what the differences are.

Ok I am going to go get some breakfast for me & my boys.

I decided not to go back in the blanket. With all the time I took deciding I could have got a lot more done. Oh well. Six weeks till the baby's due date. And I think about three till the baby shower. If you want to see a good picture of the blanket I am knitting, and you have the family circle easy knitting spring/summer 2002, look on the other side of the front cover, at the Red Heart Yarn ad. That is the baby blanket. Except it won't be blue. ; )

I keep thinking of other things to do. The colored part only at the ends. Cotton candy on either end and pink or blue for the inside ones. Or the opposite of that.

I didnt like the first set of circular needles I tried. Unnamed(ebay), size 7, I think 29" long. The part in the middle got in my way when I tried to use them. But I really like these ones. They are susan bates size 15. And I have more ebay auction stuff coming. I am glad for ebay. . . lol.

Ok back to enjoy my quiet knitting time while jason & jer are out, and kier is napping.

Oh I thought I meant to add this earlier. This afternoon I was watching Arthur with the boys while I knit. Arthurs new piano teacher--a man--had a little knitting basket in his home. Right next to a big chair. They showed him picking up his needles when arthur was leaving after a lesson. But arthurs friend had told him all about this piano teacher, and how his friend had gone to him and to be careful of the knitting needles and how mean that teacher was. So arthur ran off scared. I have a feeling the teacher was just gonna knit when he had left. hee. It was cute.

It's episode #602 thank you www.pbskids.org/arthur

I don't know if I have ever mentioned this but that is my most favorite childrens cartoon, with Recess coming in second. And Veggie tales is up there too, even though it used to annoy me a lot.

I just finished updating the projects page. I need some sleep. Where is that boy who thinks it's playtime.

Ok I posted this in the wrong blog earlier. ANd now it is much later. Kier is asleep by now, of course. And I am not.
I was laying in bed nursing him about five minutes ago and I was thinking that the afghan I am knitting would be really pretty if the white continued on the length of the blanket, and then the 7 colored rows were done in reverse. That is what I am going to do for my next baby. Maybe I'll even knit one in pink and one in blue. That way I can be suprised (like I like to be) and be prepared at the same time. Or I could just use the cotton candy (is that the right name?) pink & blue yarn.

Anyway, yeah knitting & yarn invade my thoughts these days. Jas likes that I have a hobby now, other than reading and writing, so I don't bother him so much when he wants to sit and play his games. Silly games. Silly knitting??? Nah.

Ok I had quite a few pictures and rather than make this page even more graphics heavy (I tend to forget everyone doesn't have high speed internet connection. Sorry) I made a little page JUST for this first blankie of mine. Yay. Go See Oh and yes I have caught myself accidently knitting when meaning to purl. I DID teach myself to knit you know, and I DID do the purl stitch wrong for a week or so before I figured it out.

I am going to work on something else now. Like layouts or washcloths or my Progress page. Cha Cha Cha.

Ok so not only did I get through the color change to white, but also back to the pastels WooHaw!
After I finish the 6 rows left for this set of 7 I will take another photo. It's coming along nicely actually. Although my brother-in-laws "Thats a blanket?" question made me laugh. It will be dear brother(in. law), wait and see.

Jasons home!!!
