Thanks to Kat for reminding me there was more than one way to cast on. I have read that many times and just never attempted to learn anything different than what I was taught using the book, _Learn To Knit In Just One Day_ I don't feel like looking up names, it is using both needles. I did not like this at all. This afternoon/tonight I taught myself to cast on using just one needle & the thumb & fingers of my right hand (again, don't want to look up names, lol. nursing baby and all). I like this SO much better. I can do it much faster. I'm all happy now, yay!

And thanks to Ivete for the feedback on my yarn question. I will try some different things. And yeah, I'll probably use Ebay a lot.

Oh also, My little sister prefered that casting on method as well. She had tried the other way on Sat when she was here and got frustrated. She got frustrated with knitting though. We will just keep on working on it, cause I know I got frustrated in the beginning too! I was kind of determined to learn though ; )

I'm going to see what I can do about learning to crochet soon. Yes I am.

Ok so I have only used Red Heart Yarn, worsted weight and sport weight. I want to try others, but thought I would ask for reccomendations. What is your favorite brand of yarn?

Oh and by the way, I'm buying more Red Heart as it is advertised at Big Lots this week, and well can't pass up a deal. I want to build up a stash like some of the ones I have seen(in photos) of the other knitting ladies!!! My husband would probably think I was nuts, so I didn't tell him. But I don't want to have to go buy yarn when I want to do a project (like, I want to do a little purse, like Say-Say did, but I can't right now because I would like it to be black and I don't have black).

I got a bunch of rows done on the blanket last night. And a few today. I just knit a row here and there when I get a chance. I found knitting to be really good when I was upset and stuff earlier. It is so calming. I have put off starting a new small project to work on because I hate casting on. I started casting on for a bunny, but I have not finished yet. Really, I hate it. Someone help me to like it better, LOL. It is ok to not like one part of knitting, right? Unfortunatly it is the start, but I can't have the finish without the start, so I will start. and start. and start. Yes, I will.

I'm such a slow knitter. slowwwwwwwwwwww.
I keep reading about people working on this and that. Finishing this and that. I think I need to start a small project so I can finish more often.
