OH also we had friends over for a bit tonight, and Peter kept bugging me about knitting. "Let me see hw it works" then he was looking through the Knitting and Crocheting for Idiots book and asking me all these questions. I have not read the book yet, so I was like, Um I don't know. Peter is funny. Yeah but um that is all. I didnt do a good job with this little story : )
I started my blanket again, I'm going to work on it while we watch A Knights Tale tonight and maybe i'll have pics tommorw. I don't know though, my brother borrowed my camera and I am not too good with my brother-in-laws yet. We'll see what I can do.
I started a baby blanket (I'll grab the link later, it was simple and much like the dishcloth pattern I followed). Butttttttt this morning while I was looking at my knitting book, Jer came over and wanted the knitting needle to match the other one I was letting him play with for a few minutes. So no more blanket. But i'm going to start it again in a minute and I'll do an even better job yup.
I got my ring code up and hopefully fixed properly. Woohoo.
Ok I looked at some knitting magazines at B&N tonight but none of them seemed like something I would like right now. Too early for me maybe? ; )
If anyone wants to reccomend their favorite, i'm listening.. (i feel like Fraiser "I'm listening")
I got The Complete Idiot's Guide To Knitting and Crochet as well. I wanted Knitting Without Tears but couldn't find a copy. They have it at the local library so I'm sure I'll read it soon enough. And I decided to get the idiot one because it includes Crochet, rather than the dummies one. La de da. There were several other books but I wanted something really basic for now. Last week at Half Price Books I got an older one. Oh where did it go I thought it was right here. . . Ok, The Complete Book Of Knitting by um Barbara Abbey. Which, again, seems a bit much for me as a beginner.
Gotta love the internet. Oh and whenever I am reading other peoples blogs they are saying there are so many now, maybe someone should start a webring for knitting bloggers. Get em all looped up. Or maybe a clique type thing. Whatever Just a suggestion, but not something I want to keep up with.
